OSHA 10-HOUR CONSTRUCTION INDUSTRY OUTREACH CERTIFICATION COURSE - English or Spanish

 

 

 

COURSE DESCRIPTION: 

This course is designed for mostly entry level construction workers, foremen, job supervisors, and anyone involved in the construction industry with none or minimal knowledge of the federal OSHA or local city construction safety & health rules, regulations and standards.

Federal OSHA, states and some cities recommend Outreach Training Program courses as an orientation to occupational safety and health, illness & injury for workers covered by OSHA 29 CFR 1926. Workers must receive additional training, when required by OSHA standards, on the specific hazards of the job they are involved with.

Upon successful completion of the course, participants will receive an OSHA construction safety and health 10-hour course completion card from the United States Department of Labor.

OSHA 30-HOUR ONLINE CONSTRUCTION COURSE

COURSE DESCRIPTION: 

This course covers the OSHA thirty (30) hours training, required by the Occupational Health and Safety Act (OSHA), that apply toward the 30-hour Construction Industry course completion card. The course is comprised of 25 sections, each ranging between 1 – 1 1/2 hours in length, and covers topics pertaining to regulations covered by Standard 29 CFR 1926. The successful completion of this course will help meet the Construction Industry standards established by OSHA.

NOTE: This course has been reviewed and accepted by OSHA.

LEARNING OBJECTIVES:   

• Locate OSHA Standards references applicable to specific hazardous conditions and practices (Introduction to OSHA Standards)
• Recognize the aspects of 1926 Subpart C (General Safety and Health Provisions)
• Implement preventative measures for accidents in their workplace (Subpart D- Occupational health and Environmental Controls)
• Describe types of personal protective equipment (PPE), and the requirements for use in OSHA standards (Subpart E- Personal Protective Equipment)
• Understand the requirements for fire protection in the workplace (Subpart F- Fire Protection and Prevention)

ADDITIONAL MATERIALS: You will be sent a copy of OSHA Standards for Construction (29 CFR 1926). The book will serve as an invaluable resource for referencing OSHA standards that have been covered in this course, as well as researching regulations or standards that could help in establishing a safer workplace.

 

 

Onsite OSHA Ten & Thirty Hour Construction Courses

An OSHA-authorized outreach trainer will come to your facility or jobsite to conduct the Ten or Thirty Hour OSHA Construction course for your group of employees.

The OSHA 10-hour course can be conducted in one or two consecutive days (your choice).

The OSHA 30-hour course can be conducted in three or four consecutive days (your choice).

 

Each trainee receives their own copy of the OSHA Code of Federal Regulations for Construction (29 CFR 1926), as well as notes packets and other handouts. After the class, attendees will receive a certificate of completion, plus the official wallet card issued by OSHA, to certify they successfully completed the OSHA 10 or 30-hour Construction Safety Course.

Confined Space Entry Training

 

Proficient OSHA authorized Outreach Trainers conduct on-site confined space entry training for your entry supervisors, entrants, & attendants. Training materials include a student manual, plus a free model written confined space entry program on CD-ROM that you can revise for your company's use!
